Who says adults can't have recess?

In a championship game that featured the regular season's top two teams, #2 Reunion Tour pulled away from #1 Turn Your Head and Cough to win the 2011 Late Fall Indoor Kickball title 18-9.

Playoff night kicked off with the play-in matchup of #4 Balls to the Wall versus #5 The A-Team. Balls to the Wall (4-4) built a 19-6 lead after four innings but The A-Team (3-5) rallied with three runs in the fifth and eight more in the sixth before coming up short 19-17.

Kicks 'n' Giggles reclaimed the indoor kickball title last night with a 18-3 victory over defending champion Tipsy Tokens. Entering the final night of the regular season, there was a 3-team tie between Tipsy Tokens, New Kicks on the Block, and Team Rene for 2nd place in the standings and a berth in the championship game. Tipsy Tokens won their final game of the regular season, New Kicks ended in a hard fought tie game, and Team Rene fell to KnG; it was Tipsy Tokens who advanced to play Kicks 'n' Giggles, the 1st place team in the regular season standings.

Five teams were in range of the championship game going in to Monday night, but only one team could emerge on top with the crown. Tipsy Tokens secured their spot in the final and then confidently pulled ahead to defeat KickTease 20-13 to claim their $50 Pine Cove bar tab and bragging rights.

Kicks and Giggles mounted a sixth inning comeback in a close game against Blackout to win a second straight Indoor Kickball championship on Monday night. A favorite all season, the KnG squad only had one loss, a close one to Blackout, going into the playoffs. The team rallied in the last, also double damage, inning of the championship game to bring two runs across the plate and shut down the home team Blackout to take the championship, 9-6.

After finishing the regular season at 7-1, "Kicks and Giggles"were one of the favorites to win it all this season. They figured to have to match up against "Just the Tip", the other 7-1 team whom they had beaten by only three runs during the regular season. They didn't get the chance for an epic showdown.

Never say never. "Team A", who never got around to choosing a name for themselves all season long, won three games out of 8 this season, and wound up winning the championship.

Apparently, the 4th time is the real charm. We Kick Balls, has a record 25-5-2 over the past four seasons, and has finished 2nd or first in the regular season in each of those seasons. They had failed to win the championship until knocking the monkey off their back last night!

Do you remember what it was like to walk to home plate, ready to kick your team to glory before the recess bell rang? Well, Kickin' it Old Skool does, and they made the most of the memories last night in the summer Indoor Kickball playoffs.

Coming in as the #3 seed, they knocked off We Kick Balls, getting revenge for a week 1 defeat with a score of 14-11. It was an even matchup throughout the game, with Kickin' it Old Skool staying ahead by three to five runs each inning. Every time We Kick Balls cut into the lead in the top of the inning, they answered in the bottom half.

Sacramento, CA - Last night wrapped up the Spring 2010 Indoor Kickball season with two epic showdowns between the top two teams.

In the first game of the night, Red Balls & Vodka needed to win by a large margin to have a chance at reaching the championship game. They trailed We Kick Balls by 9 runs in the differential tiebreaker, and hoped that We Kick Balls would be beaten by Kicks 'n' Giggles in the last game. Red Balls & Vodka did their part, defeating the Blue Ballers by 10; there was nothing left to do but wait and root for a Kicks 'n' Giggles victory.

On Monday night, our winter indoor kickball season came to an end with a hard fought playoff tournament.

In the first game of the night, Roundhouse Kick to the Balls defeated Red Ball & Vodka, who were selected (by virtue of their 7th place finish) to move into playoff position when I Love Kelly Kaballski had to drop out of the running.

The 2nd game was a rematch of the regular season, between Just the Tip and the Ballers. In the previous game, Just the Tip came out strong and won easily, but this time the Ballers had their number, and won 11-3 to move on.
